Walnut pulp is a byproduct of walnut oil processing. Walnut pulp can be made into a nutritious food product due to its high protein, carbohydrate, and water content. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect and best formulation of walnut pulp on the organoleptic and protein quality of shredded meat. The method used was a completely randomized design (CRD) experiment with four treatments and three replications, resulting in 12 experimental units. The results showed that Treatment D (formulation using 200 grams of walnut pulp) was highly preferred by consumers, with an average color score of 3.59%, flavor 3.57%, aroma 4%, and texture 3.53%. The highest protein content (%) was found in Treatment D (formulation using 200 grams of walnut pulp), at 7.77%.
Hemy Ratmas Djasibani Lila Istike Lani Copyright (c) 2026 Fruitset Sains : Jurnal Pertanian Agroteknologi 2026-06-30 2026-06-30 14 2 107 115 10.35335/fruitset.v14i2.7186 EVALUASI KINERJA INSTALASI PENGOLAHAN AIR LIMBAH (IPAL) DI RUMAH SAKIT X BERDASARKAN PERBANDINGAN KUALITAS AIR INLET DAN OUTLET DENGAN PENDEKATAN DATA TEMPORAL BERBEDA https://iocscience.org/ejournal/index.php/Fruitset/article/view/7148
Hospital wastewater treatment plays a crucial role because it directly impacts environmental quality and public health, particularly due to its potentially hazardous pollutant content. This study aimed to assess the effectiveness of the Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) at Hospital X by comparing the quality of wastewater at the inlet and outlet. The method used was a quantitative descriptive approach with data collection techniques in the form of field observations, sampling, and laboratory tests. Air samples were analyzed based on physical, chemical, and microbiological parameters, namely Total Suspended Solids, pH, Biological Oxygen Demand, Chemical Oxygen Demand, ammonia, and total coliform. The analysis results showed a decrease in concentrations of most parameters after the treatment process, with efficiencies of 66.59% for Total Suspended Solids, 88.89% for Biological Oxygen Demand, and 91.27% for Chemical Oxygen Demand. The pH value was still within the quality standards. However, the ammonia concentration increased, although still below the permissible limit. Overall, the WWTP performance was considered effective in reducing the pollutant load, and the treated wastewater met applicable standards, although optimization of the nitrification process was required.
Nabila Nalalizza Mahmud Nindy Callista Elvania Copyright (c) 2026 Fruitset Sains : Jurnal Pertanian Agroteknologi 2026-06-30 2026-06-30 14 2 89 98 10.35335/fruitset.v14i2.7148 ANALISIS SISTEMATIS PERAN PETERNAKAN RAKYAT DALAM KETAHANAN PANGAN RUMAH TANGGA PAPUA https://iocscience.org/ejournal/index.php/Fruitset/article/view/7198
The smallholder livestock sector in Papua plays a crucial role in strengthening food security, yet its characteristics and contributions are often not comprehensively mapped in development policies. This study aims to synthesize the characteristic profile of smallholder livestock in Papua and analyze its contribution to the four pillars of food security. The method used is a systematic literature review of 24 selected scientific articles relevant to the context of livestock and food sovereignty in Papua. The results show that smallholder livestock in this region is characterized by adaptive farming systems (traditional-extensive to livestock-crop integration) with a maintenance orientation as a liquid economic asset (living bank) and a socio-cultural instrument. The strategic contribution of livestock is identified in the availability pillar through domestic protein production, accessibility through increased household income, nutritional utilization based on gender and local wisdom, and food stability through resilience to external shocks. The implications of this research emphasize the need for locality-based policies and the strengthening of livestock institutions to ensure the sustainability of food sovereignty in Papua.
Maria Ruatakurei Sangle Yohannes Randa Johan Koibur Copyright (c) 2026 Fruitset Sains : Jurnal Pertanian Agroteknologi 2026-06-30 2026-06-30 14 2 75 88 10.35335/fruitset.v14i2.7198 POLA DISTRIBUSI DAN KUALITAS AIR LINDI DI LINGKUNGAN TPA BANJARSARI https://iocscience.org/ejournal/index.php/Fruitset/article/view/7154
The increasing volume of waste in Bojonegoro Regency has led to increased leachate production at the Final Processing Site, particularly the Banjarsari Landfill, which has the potential to cause environmental pollution. This study aims to analyze leachate distribution patterns and evaluate leachate quality around the Banjarsari Landfill. The research method includes direct measurements at 13 observation points to determine the acidity (pH), temperature, and soil moisture values. Leachate samples were also taken at the inlet and outlet of the treatment plant for analysis based on the parameters of pH, BOD, COD, TSS, total nitrogen, and the heavy metals cadmium (Cd) and mercury (Hg). The results showed that the soil pH ranged from 4.5–7.0 and the soil temperature between 28–37°C, with variations at each observation point. Some locations showed more acidic conditions suspected to be influenced by leachate seepage. Leachate distribution was identified as uneven and influenced by distance from the source, soil moisture, and groundwater flow direction. The results of quality tests showed a decrease in pollutant concentration after treatment, so the leachate treatment system is considered effective and meets applicable quality standards.
Revaputri Sugianti Nindy Callista Elvania Copyright (c) 2026 Fruitset Sains : Jurnal Pertanian Agroteknologi 2026-06-30 2026-06-30 14 2 99 106 10.35335/fruitset.v14i2.7154 RESPON PH TANAH TERHADAP APLIKASI KAPUR PERTANIAN PADA BIBIT KELAPA SAWIT (Elaeis Guineensis Jacq) FASE MAIN NURSERY https://iocscience.org/ejournal/index.php/Fruitset/article/view/7213
This study aimed to determine the effect of different doses of agricultural lime (dolomite) on changes in the pH of peat soil used as a growing medium for oil palm seedlings during the main nursery phase. Peat soil generally has a high level of acidity, which can limit the availability of nutrients for plant growth. The experiment was conducted using a non-factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with five dolomite dosage treatments, namely 0 g (control), 20 g, 50 g, 70 g, and 100 g per polybag, each replicated 12 times. Soil pH observations were carried out daily for 9 days after dolomite application. The data were analyzed using Analysis of Variance (ANOVA), followed by Duncan Multiple Range Test (DMRT) at a 5% significance level, as well as Pearson Correlation Test to determine the relationship between dolomite dosage and soil pH changes. The results showed that dolomite application significantly increased soil pH. The treatment with 100 g/polybag produced the highest average pH value of 6.46, while the control treatment only reached a pH of 5.73. In addition, a significant positive correlation (r = 0.556) was found between increasing dolomite dosage and soil pH improvement. Therefore, the application of agricultural lime proved effective in increasing and stabilizing peat soil pH, making it more suitable as a growing medium for oil palm nurseries.
Riyan Riyan Nurlia Husna Siregar Niza Azzhara Pandu Setio Anna Kusumawati Copyright (c) 2026 Fruitset Sains : Jurnal Pertanian Agroteknologi 2026-06-30 2026-06-30 14 2 116 124 10.35335/fruitset.v14i2.7213
