Abstract

Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui menejemen kepala sekolah dalam meningkatkan kinerja guru di SMA Muhammadiyah. Pendekatannya pendekatan kualitatif. Jenis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah data primer dan data sekunder. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan: metode observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Sampel yang digunakan adalah semua guru SMA Muhammadiyah. Sedangkan teknik analisis data menggunakan langkah-langkah sebagai berikut: pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan (verifikasi). Upaya yang dilakukan kepala sekolah dalam meningkatkan kinerja guru di SMA Muhammadiyah: Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: 1) Pengembangan disiplin guru untuk indikator pertama, yaitu pengembangan disiplin guru oleh kepala sekolah sudah atau sudah dilaksanakan seperti kepala sekolah. sering mengawasi dan mengingatkan guru dan stafnya untuk datang dan bekerja tepat waktu, selalu menerapkan disiplin kepada guru di SMA Muhammadiyah. Kecepatan dan ketepatan kerja menunjukkan bahwa kepala sekolah telah melakukan pengawasan terhadap kerja guru dan bagaimana kecepatan dan ketepatan kerjanya. 2) Salah satu tugas kepala sekolah adalah melakukan pengawasan. Jadi, pengawasan sangat penting di sini. Pemberian motivasi menunjukkan bahwa kepala sekolah telah memberikan motivasi kepada guru dengan harapan kinerja guru semakin baik. Penelitian ini terbatas pada kinerja guru SMA Muhammadiyah saja, sedangkan kompetensi secara komprehensif belum terpaparkan.
